in todays video we are getting this engine cleaned up and sealed up. the timing is done and the timing cover will be going on tomorrow. the oil pan went on the little boxer engine without any problems. the subaru engine is put together with a large amount of RTV sealant which i do not like. the problem i have with this kind of engine is it is a bunch of small pieces that basically get glued together with silicone cement. the only gasket that it comes with are the valve covers and even they require RTV. but anyway i think his has been a fun project for me and the boys to dive into and hopefully it will be a success.
