Citizenship Amendment Bill Passed In Lok Sabha: Who Said What | IndiaTV News

The Citizenship Amendment Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha after hours of heated debate. The bill was passed by 311-80 votes.

Meanwhile, AIMIM president and MP Asaduddin Owaisi tore a copy of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019, in the Lok Sabha, saying that the Bill tries to divide the country.

Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Owaisi said the Bill is not only the part of a conspiracy to make Indian Muslims stateless but will also lead to pose a risk to the national security.

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor called the CAB Bill 'unconstitutional'. Amit Shah gave a befitting reply to Tharoor's claims and said that there has been no violation of any article in the Constitution.
