Heading home to hang up the hook...for a bit! Vlog 90

Heading home to hang up the hook...for a bit! Vlog 90 It's the final countdown, de de dah! This episode tracks us as we head out of the Bay of Islands and down the stunning (but freezing in October) east coast of New Zealand. We forgo an overnight passage in favour of a quick stop off at Great Barrier Island then get up at the crack of dawn to make it to Tauranga before sunset. It was great to have family and friends waiting at the dock, what a feeling to finally be home for good! We also take some time to share how we all feel to be home, the good, the bad and the ugly.
We hope you have enjoyed following our journey around the world. If Nikau doesn't sell to quickly we plan to take her out for some bonus episodes tripping around New Zealand this summer - stay tuned for that!

We are the Robbins family sailing on our boat named Nikau.
We are a family of 5. Our 3 kids are doing NZ correspondence school on board. They are growing to love it! What's not to love about 3 hours of school a day and then a different playground for the afternoon every day!

We've traveled from New Zealand to Sardinia in Italy to pick up our boat and we plan over a few seasons to sail her back to New Zealand.

We hope you enjoy following us on our adventures!
We would love to hear from you. Especially if you are interested in doing something crazy like we are! Maybe we can help answer some questions you have?

Thanks and enjoy.
