Leaders' Debate: Scheer says Trudeau wears 'masks' and can't be trusted During his opening remarks at the leaders' debate, Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer attacked Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau for wearing what he called "masks" - as a feminist, as pro-Indigenous, as someone who would do politics differently - and said he was a "fraud" who could not be trusted.

The English language debate was focused around five major topics: affordability and economic insecurity; national and global leadership; Indigenous issues; polarization, human rights and immigration; and finally, the environment and energy.
