2019 Bosch 800 Dishwasher with CrystalDry - SHEM78Z55N, Front Panel, Dryness, Cycle Time, First Wash

2019 Bosch 800 Dishwasher with CrystalDry - SHEM78Z55N, Front Panel, Dryness, Cycle Time, First Wash A newly installed 2019 Bosch 800 series dishwaser with CrystalDry, model SHEM78Z55N.

Things are bone dry and hot, just a few water spots, and quiet as usual for a Bosch. Cascade rinse aid was used with a Quantum detergent pod. I'm doing a second cycle with Cascade Fryer Boil Out which has phosphates to see if that eliminates the hard water spots.

Last half of the video shows cycle times and the additional time for CrystalDry and Sanitize options.

This model was chosen because Bosch consistently ranks the highest with many models in Consumer Reports, and CrystalDry solves Bosch drying problems. Many consumers complain about plastics not drying in Bosch dishwashers, but the problem now seems solved.

The front button panel model was selected to avoid as much steam and heat on the touch buttons as possible, and the remaining time is displayed instead of just a light. If I cared less about longevity I'd go with the bar style handle to hold extra towels.

Full price installed from Home Depot was $1340 which included haul away, delivery, water hookup kit, and a cord.

Note: you do not need the junction box to hardwire the dishwasher if you have a plug available.

The plastic was not removed from the front panel which is why it looks more dull/matte.
