Should you try to SPEAK ENGLISH like a NATIVE SPEAKER? Get my FREE ebook guide to learning Australian English:

In this episode of Aussie English I sit down with my wife Kel to talk to you about whether or not you should try to speak English like a native speaker.

There're many conflicting things said on the matter of how to learn English and what your English-learning goals should be.

But today, I thought I'd give you my opinion on aiming to speak like a native English speaker, as well as speak with someone who's learnt English to a very high native-like level and find out what their opinions.

Ultimately, I if you want to be fluent in English or master the English language and become an incredibly proficient speaker, just like a native English speaker, your goal needs to be just that, to learn to speak English like a native speaker does.

So what do you think? When you're an English as a second language student trying to learn English whether overseas or in an immersion environment, do you think you should try to learn to speak English like a native English speaker or not?
