23-year-old Danny Kolzow, who works as a nurse at Baylor All Saints in Fort Worth, was in desperate need of a kidney transplant. Kolzow suffers from a medical condition that affects his kidney function. His good friend, 24-year-old Graham McMillan was one of the first to get tested to see if he could donate one of his kidneys. When McMillan got the news that he was a match, he decided to tell Kolzow in a special way.
In a viral video that has been viewed over 800,000 times, McMillan shows up at the hospital where Kolzow works bearing balloons and a sign reading “Heard urine need of a kidney. Want mine?” An emotional Kolzow breaks down at his good fortune in finding a donor and the fact that his friend is willing to go to such lengths to help him out.
McMillan says he is nervous about the surgery, but he is happy to be able to make such a difference in his friend’s life. Thanks to McMillan’s sacrifice, the two men will undoubtedly share a bond that will last forever
