What's Like to Have a Pet Alligator (2019 Edition)

In today's video we show you a glimpse of our life with a pet alligator! They're messy, occasionally smelly, always hungry, and full of sass (er- "personality"). Despite being a diva, Rex is a beloved family member of ours! Watch how we clean her room, wash her in the bathtub, feed her, and more!

Rex's story (in a nutshell):
Rex is a rescued American alligator. Her previous owner loved her, but wasn't taught how to correctly care for such a large species of reptile. As a result, she was kept in a 4-foot wooden box for 27 years of her life and is severely stunted. We adopted her in 2014, and now she lives in a renovated guest bedroom of our house! For now, anyway. We have bigger plans for her environment coming in 2020 (but we can't spill the beans yet!).
