Candle heaters can be very dangerous. However, this light bulb alternative may help save someone's life. This flower pot heater design is easy to build. it is basically a terracotta pot with over a 50 watt halogen light bulb. Clay pot heaters work not because of the heat they emit but rather by the infrared waves they emit that heat the things in the room and not the air in the space you wish to heat. However the air does get warm from the radiant heat of the objects warmed by the far infrared waves.
Unlike tea light candle powered clay pot heaters, light bulb heaters don't create water vapours as they don't burn fuel. (When you light a candle the heat of the flame melts the wax near the wick. This liquid wax is then drawn up the wick by capillary action. These vaporized molecules are drawn up into the flame where they react with oxygen from the air to create heat, light and water vapor.)
Dry heat reduces condensation by keeping the air warm but candles also produce vapour as they burn.

Each tea light inside generates about 40 watts and as most people use several at the same time the temperature can reach 200c if not properly ventilated and can cause the paraffin fuel to spontaneously ignite.
You must never ever use tea lights that close together. These devices create intense heat because of the infrared radiation which heats all the objects in the space.
