A Selection of work by Gold Coast Artist 'B'

A Selection of work by Gold Coast Artist 'B' 'B' works primarily with oils because they are easy to shove around when you make a mistake.
'B's work is inspired by the Human Form, and seeing the original picture morph into something else is an exercise in imagination.

Painting was not part of the plan, her feelings about the art was complete disinterest. So it came as a surprise when she picked up a paintbrush fifteen years ago and never looked back. Her whole life has revolved around the arts in it's many forms, including Dance, (spent a short time with the NZ Ballet Company), violin lessons, pottery, and watching her grandmother and mother paint. 'B''s mother later became well known in New Zealand mixing with people such as Colin McCahon and sculptor Terry Stringer, It is from these influences that 'B' learnt how the imagination can take flight producing random images. Then she met Stephen Buntrock of the Gold Coast Art School whose teaching style and philosophy was closely aligned to 'B''s.  Under Stephen's guidance and good humour 'B' has worked to develop her technical skills and is still discovering how composition can tell a story.

This has been an exciting journey which has been both exhilarating and challenging.
