Independence over-dependence. Being overly dependent can be a very dangerous situation. In the business situation, where are you are over-dependent on suppliers, this can result in delivering bad results to your customers, potentially less profitability or even bankruptcy. On a personal level being dependent on someone can lead to disappointment on many levels. Although it is inevitable on the business and personal level, the dependence will always be there.

The question at hand when it comes to dependence versus independence is what do you do to best control things that are dependent by using the independent things. This balance is a sensitive situation where you need to be able to balance it with time and accuracy.

People and suppliers can overpower you if you’re over-dependent on them to break down that dependency it is a matter of supply and demand. The more suppliers you have access to the last dependent you become. In other words, the more options that you have or create for yourself, the less dependent you will become.

Find creative and effective ways to ensure that anything you’re dependent on can be managed and controlled with time.
