UPDATE: As an added bonus for keyboard and mouse users (regardless of platform), it turns out select lobbies allow for all input methods to play together. Looking into it since publishing this video, it's a rare occurrence, but appears more likely to happen with cross-play enabled. As a result, being selected for these 'mixed' lobbies would give keyboard and mouse users a huge advantage over those on a controller.

Modern Warfare's support of cross-play is invaluable in crumbling the wall between console and PC - and yet there is a competitive edge still to be had. PC is replete with feature that stay active even when playing against PS4 and Xbox One systems - while there's a big frame-rate delta between the consoles too.
