Just showing even with a mild VW Aircooled engine, a stock bodied bug can turn some decent times. No fancy tires, no Subaru swaps, no nitrous, no turbo, just a mild 2332 with Ported Mofoco 050 heads and CB2292 cam with .491 lift and 1.3 rockers, 48idf carbs. Original VW Magnesium case and transmission used. During these runs, 13.0@102 mph was best time, however the little clicker style fuel pump, and factory fuel line was starving the engine at the 1000 foot mark so it stopped pulling. Will upgrade those next, and should get 12.90's out of it.
