In this Light Circle we continue asking Jesus—a symbol of the Light within—to help reveal desires below our level of awareness so they can be cleared in the Light of Truth. Jesus reminds us to start with the recognition of Light and ask him to reveal whether there is a desire below our level of awareness for the experience ”of the ego having more power than you, when you have provided all the power to the illusion that the ego exists.” If Jesus reveals that we do have reasons (desires) to deny the Light by giving the ego power over us we admit the desire and offer it to the Light for a miracle. We continue looking with Jesus at the desire to experience love as sacrifice, which makes love seem inseparable from attack and fear, the desire to experience guilt and fear as the price to be paid for Love, when Love knows not sacrifice, guilt nor fear, and the desire to experience staying within a comfort zone that is choosing the experience of death over the expression of Divinity. We continue admitting any desires that are revealed by Jesus from Chapter 20 as listed above and ask for miracles to release these desires, a change in perception. In some cases it may be helpful to go deeper with Jesus on individual desires listed in Chapter 20. In Jesus: A New Covenant ACIM, Jesus points to the power of direct experience of the Light within to clear denials of divinity. He shares that all the beliefs that are denials of Divinity are given in A Course in Miracles, and translates these beliefs in ANC to denials so that we can look directly with him. In Light Circles we focus on the Light first, and in this Light beliefs and desires that seem to deny awareness of unconditional Love, our true nature, are quickly cleared.
