In Hebrew, Gatshmanim represents a literal crushing of Messiah, as was foretold in the Old Testament by the prophets. Before the crucifixion occured, Messiah offered up His will to the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane, pleading with Him to take away the cup of His suffering. Sharing etymological roots with Gethsemane, Gatshmanim is the 'oil press' and Gethsemane is the place where Messiah's spilling of blood began. God's will was fulfilled on that fateful day, leading to the anointing of the Christ for the healing and salvation of His children. But it would have not happen until Jesus encountered His pain and torment through the Gatshmanim.
