How do I adjust the flow control on CORIO CD and affix the pump fitting connections?

How do I adjust the flow control on CORIO CD and affix the pump fitting connections? How do you adjust the flow control on JULABO’s CORIO CD systems? This Question Mark video addresses that question as well as how to affix tubing for an external application. CORIO CD heating and refrigerated/heating circulators, have a single speed pump controlled by an easy-to-use dial on the front of the machine that allows you to adjust the ratio of internal and external flow. For applications where you have a vessel or an object placed inside the bath tank, it’s easy to adjust the flow rate based uponyour needs. Simply adjust the dial to control the amount of agitation and flow inside the bath tank. All CORIO CD units come with M16 fittings and a pair of 8 and 12-millimeter hose barbs for external applications. Tubing can be applied by removing the cap nuts on the back of the CORIO CD system and removing the plug. Simply slide the hose barb into the nut and thread it on. You don’t need Teflon tape as the M-threaded fitting forms a face-to-face metal seal that’s leak-proof across a temperature range of -100°C to + 400°C. Once you’ve tightened it down, you can attach your rubber tubing into the application and adjust the flow rate as needed with the dial. Transcript:Welcome to JULABO. Today’s Question Mark deals with flow control on CORIO CD systems and the pump fitting connections. So for CORIO CD heating circulators and refrigerated/heating circulators, it has a single speed pump that has a dial on the front where you can adjust the ratio of internal and external flow. So, for an application where you’d like to have a vessel or an object placed inside the bath tank, it’s easy to adjust the flow rate based upon your needs. And, as you can see here, right now we have the diverter at 100% external so the flow inside is very calm but if we want to have a more vigorous agitation, all we have to do is adjust the diverter and we have a more vigorous flow inside. So, for external applications, all CORIO CDs come with M16 fittings and a pair of 8 and 12-millimeter hose barbs. So these can be easily installed by removing the cap nuts on the back of the system. So, simply disconnect the fittings, remove the plug, then you slide the hose barbs into the nut, thread it on. No Teflon tape is necessary for an M-threaded fitting, it forms a metal face-to-face seal, which is leak-proof across a temperature range of minus 100 to 400 degrees C. And, then, you simply tighten it down, you don’t need to put a lot of force on that. Alright, so then you can affix your rubber tubing onto the application and then as we showed you before, you can adjust the flow to 100% external to have maximum flow to your external application. So, if you have any other questions, please DM us or look us up online. Thank you.
