Here are my 5 top tips for how to cope with weight change & intuitive eating:
1.) Give your body permission to change. Our bodies are NEVER going to be the exact same at two different points in time. Get your mindset in a place where it can expect change, not fear it.
2.) Ditch the scale. One more time for the people in the back: DITCH. THE. SCALE. It's really an arbitrary number. I mean, it changes if you do or do not POOP for goodness sake! Don't let that number drive you nuts- it's not worth it!
3.) Find support. Do a social media detox of accounts that don't serve you, talk a few girlfriend (or guyfriend!) ears off, and speak to yourself like a friend
4.) Body appreciation. Make a list of all of the things that your body does for you. Re-write this list when you're on the body image struggle bus!
5.) Separate your worth from your weight. You are MORE than your weight. Make a list of characteristics that aren't impacted by your weight. For instance, are you kind? Smart? Driven? etc. Re-write this list when you need a pick-me-up.
