Hundreds of children and their parents have converged at the Maverley Gospel Hall in St Andrew, some turning up from as early as 7 a.m., for the treat that was scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
Spice, who has been preparing for the treat for weeks, said she did not expect such massive turnout. She even used her social media platforms to call on her followers to provide supplies to the back-to-school treat.
In a post made on her Instagram page a short while ago, Spice called on corporate Jamaica and her colleagues to turn up at the venue with whatever they have as she does not want any child walking away empty handed.
Entertainers Richie Stephens and Elephant Man are on hand assisting with the back-to-school treat.
