they sell these baby turtles in downtown LA (santee alley), and it's super sad :( i'm all about pets! but seeing baby turtles in a tiny box in 100 degree weather being sloshed around by kids shopping that bought them for $10, is just sad.they are called hatchling turtles (which is another name for baby turtles) and they live to be around 25 years old and grow a lot bigger. mist people aren't dedicated to taking care of them for that long anyways, and these turtles are stuck with a horrible life. echo park lake is only filled with abandoned pet turtles and it has a ton of happy turtles. please- don't buy a baby turtle if you can't care for him/her! instagram: @lilangel_ash @jessesunset
