On August 21, 2019, 35 community members endured a 4 hour wait to speak in front of the Planning Commission. The theme was all the same, "Please approve 500 Kirkham." Commissioner Manus started with, "This is a great love-fest," followed by each commissioner voting YES.
Receiving approval, with a room full of supporters, was nothing short of a complete community effort. The evening highlight was a 2 minute performance from a 5 piece band, led by blues legend and project advocate, Ronnie Stewart.
