mark grew up in a family of poverty. because of this, he has doubted everything he’s done. whether it’s through his schoolwork or even trying to support his family, him not having enough money has impacted him mentally a lot, hence why he tries to commit suicide. even with the support of his two friends, jaehyun and rosé, he still can’t seem to want to suffer anymore. “my world, my life, everything was colourless. to me, everything seemed in monochrome, black and white symbolizing my depression” as rosé described, i’ll never be able to see the lively and bold colours of life if i continue to live depressed” that’s until someone stops him. mark gets stopped from jumping off the bridge from a female. it turns out that this female is jaehyun’s girlfriend (y/n). the two become mutuals through jaehyun.
months pass and mark and y/n have become close friends. mark slowly realizes his feelings for y/n. “my world started to take on color with her, it was almost how my black and white world was nothing, like a blank colouring book that’s waiting to be coloured in with crayons. in this case, she is the crayons to my colouring book”. “now i know what this feeling is”
