Folks, I do realize that I misspoke during the phone calls I made, where I referenced the "Kappy incident" date as March 13, 2019. I do know the actual date of the incident was May 13, 2019. I simply got my "M" month names mixed up...and then it just stuck in my head as I continued. It was early morning when I started these phone calls. I had been up since the day before doing research. I was tired. The phone calls were a bit taxing. There was no mistake or misunderstandings as to which incident I was inquiring about. I had Kappy's name and report/incident numbers. So, this is what is key. The Sgt. I spoke with at Camp Navajo knew exactly which incident I was referencing. He seemed to be frustrated with the event. As if he had already fielded many inquiries on the matter. Listen to the audio closely. My intention for making the calls was not simply only to get information on how to order the records, but also to garner as much other information I could by engaging with the people I spoke with. I wanted to be clear on what records were generated, by whom, and if they were available to the public, and when, etc. Many questions came up within the conversations. This is how investigating works.
Don't get caught up on my misspeaking the date of the "incident". The investigation will continue.
