USWNT has a lot of questions to answer before quarterfinal vs. France | Women's World Cup The United States held on for a 2-1 win vs. Spain to reach the FIFA Women’s World Cup quarterfinals, but ESPN FC’s Julie Foudy and Kate Markgraf were underwhelmed by the USWNT’s performance in Reims. Both consider Spain the United States’ first real test of the World Cup, but agree Jill Ellis’ squad will not be able to play a similar game and come out on top vs. France in Paris.
