PPL has been my split of choice lately because it gets me enough recovery between sessions while allowing me to get the frequency that I like (each muscle group ~2x per week). Remember, there are no magic splits. At the end of the day, you just need to achieve progressive overload, which requires focused workouts and sufficient rest.
