Ever fervent in their Trump impeachment agenda, the liberal media decided to attack Fox News on MSNBC’s The Last Word, Monday night. Host, Lawrence O’Donnell, set the stage for Jill Wine-Banks, a former Watergate prosecutor, asking: “Jill Wine-Banks, this must have been odd for you to watch having worked on the Watergate case where in fact, Republicans did cooperate in the House Judiciary Committee a total of seven Republicans ultimately voted for at least one article of impeachment against President Nixon.” Wine-Banks responded questioning todays Republicans: “Yes. It shows how different the world is now that there is absolutely no interest in the Republicans in even listening.” She continued: “They did not challenge any substantive thing that Joyce Vance or Barbra McQuaid or John Dean said.” As MSNBC contributors, it is doubtful that Vance or McQuiad said anything truly ‘substantive’. Then again, MSNBC can do no-wrong. Despite the fact that they didn’t broadcast the hearing live, Wine-Banks continued: “And I think that we need to get to a point where we may need to pass a law that says their hearings have to be broadcast on Fox News because I think Joyce correctly said she hopes she persuaded some legislators but I don’t think that people who listen to Fox News heard what was said today.” This petty finger pointing was repeated from earlier in the day, with references to Justin Amash town hall; “And that's who we have to have hear this. The people need to hear or else you have the woman at the Amash town hall who says I had no idea that there was anything negative in the Mueller report.” Wine-Banks concluded her condemnation of Fox stating; “Because I listen to conservative news. And that’s the problem is we need to have -- it's sort of a chicken and egg. You need to have support to go ahead with impeachment, but you need impeachment to have the support.”
Forcing Fox News to air these hearings would more likely result in anger and lowered approval for Democrat representatives, but at least they would be under government influence, just like MSNBC.
