A transparent annular RDC is shot in mid-infrared at ~1300 fps with a temperature range between 30 and 1300 C using an advanced FLIR camera (X6901 SC). The detonation wave itself along with the attached contact surface burning is clearly seen, as are the fresh colder reactants refill upstream of the wave.
