VAERS is a self-reporting system with no official verification that the adverse events submitted are indeed caused (or have anything to do with) vaccines. It's important to look at the actual reports instead of taking the sum total of "injuries" reported in VAERS as evidence that vaccines are more harmful than the diseases they protect against.
