India election: Exit polls suggest win for Prime Minister Modi's Hindu nationalist party | DW News

Voting in India's national elections has ended, with exit polls predicting a second term for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Long queues formed outside polling stations in the final round of voting. Throughout the election, Modi's Hindu Nationalist BJP and its rivals have accused each other of violence, fraud and intimidation. The election is seen as a referendum on Modi's leadership and policies over the last five years. Official results are expected on Thursday.
